Things that go dumb in the night.
Let me preface this review by stating that supernatural horror movies do not scare me nor do I believe in the supernatural. Movies about serial killers and real life threats scare me. Having said that, I couldn't even enjoy Paranormal Activity as a movie. I found Micah and Katie to be so annoying and irritating, I was rooting for the demon to finish the job. The movie was filmed in a week and it shows. It could have been more thrilling and exciting if it was fleshed out more even using the already overused "home video found at crime scene" plot device. I am surprised by the amount of positive reviews it is getting and wonder if this movie could be used as a litmus test to weed out superstitious type. It basically boils down to this; if you like campfire stories and spooky tales, if you DVR Ghost Hunters every week and sleep with a night light, this is your movie otherwise don't bother!
